Soon in tunes: Mary Chapin Carpenter, March 2 at WAC
March 1st, 2013 at 12:39 pm
Hit songwriter and vocalist Mary Chapin Carpenter has earned both a dedicated fanbase — she’s sold more than 12 million records — and industry awards to match. The country musician behind such songs as “Down at the Twist and Shout,” “I Feel Lucky” and “Shut Up and Kiss Me,” will perform Saturday (March 2) at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville. Fellow songwriter Shawn Colvin will join her for the night. Tickets are $26-$54 and are available by calling 443-5600 or via www.waltonartscenter.org.
Also, make sure to read my colleague Ashley Batchelor’s story about Carpenter in today’s What’s Up! section, available on newstands or online [Note: subscription content].
