Ever wanted to be a concert promoter? You know, the person who brings in the acts and hopes like crazy that enough people show up to pay the bill for the show?
Well, it’s not easy, which is why most of us don’t have that job (besides, the market in Northwest Arkansas is only so big).
But, perhaps you’ve got a couple ideas for bands, those you think would do well in this area.
Well, who would you book?
Here are a few things to consider:
â¢ It should to be a band that will fit into a space, and for our purposes, let’s suppose that’s the AMP (crowd size 1,500 to 7,000) or so.
â¢ The group’s sound cross many demographics (young/old, folk/pop, etc…).
â¢ It shouldn’t be too pricey (U2 and Lady Gaga are probably out).
â¢ They should be a band actually on tour right now, which means you might want to look for band scheduled to play or to release an album this spring, which usually also leads to a tour.
