It’s a gorgeous fall weekend (although a little crisp today), and you should probably be out and about, enjoying the sunshine and leaves. Truly — is there a prettier part of the country than Northwest Arkansas in the fall? Schools.com has decided the University of Arkansas is one of the 10 prettiest in the fall, for instance.
So, get out, soak it in, and maybe see a little music when the sun goes down.
With more than 30 years of music to his credit, Texas native Joe Ely continues to cross the country. He performs at the 324 Ballroom (behind Jose’s) in Fayetteville on Saturday (Oct. 20). The concert, which benefits the Arkansas Support Network’s KidsClub program, begins at 7 p.m. Admission ($40) is limited to 100 guests. For details or tickets, call 927-4100.
Elsewhere, Pat Green, a fellow Texan, will perform tonight (Oct. 19) at George’s Majestic Lounge. His 10 p.m. concert will cost you $25. Go if you like Texas country music and cowboy boots — he always puts on a good show.
George’s ends the weekend with a performance by electronica producer Mimosa. His fall tour finds him out on the road through the end of the year, and he’ll make one of the stops Sunday (Oct. 21) in Fayetteville. Tickets to the 9 p.m. show are $15.
What’s on your schedule?
