In the song “I and Love and You,” the Avett Brothers talk of heading north. They’ll be heading to Fayetteville in October.

One of the hardest working bands in indie rock is at it again. The Avett Brothers will release a new album this fall and have recently extended their almost never-ending tour, which will now take them to Fayetteville for an Oct. 16 show at the Arkansas Music Pavilion.

Details are scarce right now, but the venue and band have confirmed the appearance and the band says a ticket pre-sale will begin Tuesday (July 10).

The Avetts Brothers recently performed in the area for the Wakarusa festival and have gained a dedicated fanbase for their often heartfelt interpretations of folk rock.

We’ll update you when more ticket information is announced.

Awesome live band. I’m not sure I have seen a band go on such an extensive tour before the new album even drops. They have been touring basically all of 2012 now
