Wakarusa is over. Or very close to it — guests must vacate the grounds by noon today (June 4).
More than 150 artists performed on the four festival days, and I saw a lot of them, although the prospect of a hot shower prompted me to head home on Sunday (June 3) before I saw any of the last day’s performers.
Enjoy a few more photos from the festival above, and let us know your thoughts. Did you enjoy the festival? What were your favorite acts? Did you get hailed on Sunday afternoon (I was already gone, but it looked like the festival was about to take a direct hit).
Stick with us later in the week, where we’ll provide some final thoughts about the four-day event of camping, music and general mania.
Beautiful festival in an amazing location. I enjoyed attempting to enjoy the acoustic sounds of the Weir Trio surrounded by people who were anxiously awaiting Pretty Lights.
Favorite acts:
Edward Sharpe
Avett Brothers
Umpheys McGee (late night)
Devil Makes Three
