Wanna see a show on Thursday (Dec. 8)? There are a couple options.

Touring in support of his April release “Medicine,” Louisiana bluesman Tab Benoit will make a couple stops in the area beginning Thursday at Second Street Live in Fort Smith. Benoit has entrenched himself on the blues scene with a series of well-received albums and several awards, including being named the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year in 2007 and earning a Grammy nomination. After his 7:30 p.m. show in Fort Smith, Benoit will perform at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville. Admission to Thursday’s show is $35; admission to the Dec. 9 event is $15. Tickets are available through the respective venues.

Confederate Railroad

Georgia group Confederate Railroad rides into West Siloam Springs for a show tonight at Seven, the venue located inside the Cherokee Casino. The group recorded hits such as “Trashy Women” and sold more than 5 million records. Admission to the 10 p.m. show is free. Southern Missouri family band Big Smith opens at 6 p.m.
