This has always been one, if not the No. 1, of my favorites from Loretta Lynn. It’s called “Fist City.” Don’t think for a second she wouldn’t knock you out. She’ll be at the Walton Arts Center in September.

Weeks after announcing the shows for their Broadway series, the Walton Arts Center typically announces many of the other performances that will fill out their season calendar.

We noticed those new additions today, and they include many musical performances.

Among them are Loretta Lynn, who will perform on Sept. 23, Kenny Rogers on Dec. 7, Manhattan Transfer (for a Christmas-themed show) on Dec. 15, a repeat performance by Blue Man Group on Jan. 10-15 , the Whiffenpoofs of Yale on April 6 and Bela Fleck & The Flecktones on April 12.

More shows may be announced on future dates, but this is likely to represent the bulk of the music-based entertainment inside the Fayetteville venue for the 2011-12 season.

Tickets are currently available only as part of a season subscription package. Individual tickets will go on sale soon.
