Helping the Gulf Coast, one note at a time
July 1st, 2010 at 8:53 am
As Hurricane Alex continues to churn in the Gulf of Mexico and wash oil onto the shore, dozens of music venues across the country are chipping in to help.
Including one in Fayetteville and one in Fort Smith.
George’s Majestic Lounge will be a host of one of tonight (July 1)’s “Coast to Coast” benefit shows, which are taking place in venues throughout the country.
In Fayetteville, the lineup includes Mountain of Venus, Matt Stell & The Crashers, Black Pearl, Bent Grass Green, Sarah Hughes and Tiffany Christopher.
Admission is by a suggested donation of $10.
Doors open at 6 p.m.; music starts at 7 p.m.
In Fort Smith, Sister Hazel is playing at Neumeier’s Rib Room and, according to the venue owner, $1,000 of the bar proceeds will be donated to the cause.
All proceeds to the Gulf Restoration Network.
